Verizon Celebrates Military Appreciation Month with Discussion Panel 'Aligning with our Allies in Honor of Armed Forces Day'

"May is #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, a month where we honor and pay tribute to military service members and Veterans around the world and express our thanks and #gratitude for their unwavering commitment to service and sacrifice. This week I've had the pleasure of attending 'Aligning with our Allies in Honor of Armed Forces Day', a panel discussion hosted by our Verizon Business CEO and Verizon VALOR ERG Executive Sponsor Tami Erwin and her distinguished military guests, and 'Heroes Among Us' where colleagues spoke of their time serving. They discussed challenges our service members encounter when transitioning to a civilian workplace, the importance of businesses supporting their employees who continue to serve and how their communities can support them and their families. I’m proud that Verizon supports and champions these heroes and actively hires Veterans through programs such as Hiring Our Heroes, as well as, military spouses. "
