Takeda Visits West Point for Panel Session on Diversity in Leadership, Uses STRIVE ERG as Example

"Recently, I had a chance to visit West Point and speak at a panel session on Diversity in Leadership. The program talked about the importance of diversity and inclusion to help businesses succeed in rapidly changing environments. It was fitting to have Takeda represented at this program as our Strategic Intent is all about adapting to our changing environment. It was an opportunity to highlight the work we are doing at Takeda to support diversity and inclusion.

While at this event, I also had a chance to share the work Takeda is doing with our Employee Resource Groups (ERG). I used STRIVE (Supporting Troops and Inspiring Veteran Engagement) as an example, and spoke of the work STRIVE has done to help support and encourage recruitment and retention of veterans at Takeda. In fact, we now screen veterans for every field sales role we fill externally. I was also able to highlight the Pro Patria Award that Takeda recently won from Illinois Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for our work in adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve."
