More Information
"It takes tremendous courage to put your life on the line for the safety and well-being of others, and as someone who comes from a long line of family members who have served, I am eternally grateful for the brave men and women of the U.S. Military who dedicate their lives to protect our country and their families who support them. In our Veteran's Day event, earlier this week I had the privilege to be inspired by Retired Marine Corps Sergeant Kirstie Ennis. A combat survivor and above-the-knee amputee who has climbed 6 of the world's 7 summits. Kirstie and her foundation's mission is to "inspire individuals to stubbornly climb the mountain in front of them," whether it's an actual mountain or metaphorical; and in sharing her story she reminds us of the need for community, respect for one another, and the importance of letting go of our ego to find common ground.
A huge thanks to Kirstie for sharing her story with us, Micron team member Bryan Carter for opening the event with our National Anthem, the Boise State University Color Guard, and Micron's Veterans, Capable, and Women's ERGs for making this a truly special day. Most importantly thank you to the brave men and women, past and present, who proudly serve our country. #HappyVeteransDay!
