FEMA's Hispanic- Latino ERG Hosts Earth Day Event “Changing the Conversation: Moving the Dialogue from Charts to Communities” in Celebration

"To celebrate Earth day the FEMA Hispanic- Latino ERG ( #FHERG ) hosted The inaugural session event, “Changing the Conversation: Moving the Dialogue from Charts to Communities,” In a historic moment, all ten FERGs have united to support the intersection of equity and climate.
The united position of the FERGs under the Climate Equity Alliance will support several sessions in the next few months to highlight communities, people and the value of our work in the nation’s path ahead. In alignment with goals of the FEMA 2022-2026 Strategic Plan; Goal 1: Instill equity as a foundation of emergency management and Goal 2: Lead whole of community in climate resilience, these discussions will explore how we can build a more equitable society in an environment with the need to act to address rising climate impacts."
