More Information

"In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth through our Michigan African American Business Resource Group, led by LaShawn Jimenez, Comerica Bank is partnering with Cheryl Ajamu and the Ajamu Group to showcase extraordinary black-owned businesses in Michigan. In our fourth installment of the series, we are highlighting Audio Engineers of Detroit, a state-of-the-art recording studio with a learning component, training the next generation of audio engineers from communities of color, owned by Robin and Michael Kinnie.

Audio Engineers of Detroit is the only African American-owned audio engineering company in Michigan and has been used by filmmakers for music scoring, recording, audiobook recording, and podcasts. They also offer audio engineering classes and a 9-month training program that includes entrepreneurial courses, taught by five instructors from the music and recording industries."
