Color's DeColores ERG Celebrates Latinx / Hispanic Heritage Month with Events and Discussions

"At Color, we’re as passionate about building communities as we are about serving them. One of the ways we do this is through our internal Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), in which teammates of different identities and perspectives can find support, create community, share culture, and be their authentic selves.

Recently, one of our seven ERGs, De Colores led the company in honoring Latinx / Hispanic Heritage Month with an array of exciting events, meaningful discussions — and, yes, a bunch of homemade guava empanadas .

Each activity celebrated impactful contributions from these communities. All month, we shared about our favorite music, movies, food, businesses, and influential figures in Latinx / Hispanic cultural history.

We also hosted discussions about the barriers that Latinx / Hispanic communities can face in healthcare — specifically when it comes to mental health. It was heartening to come together to share stories and resources, and continue to work to improve healthcare delivery for all."
