Pratt & Whitney volunteersAttend the 10th Annual Hike To Remember.

"Yesterday morning, me and a group of Pratt & Whitney volunteers reported for early morning duty in support of the Marine Corps League (Glastonbury chapter) and their 10th Annual Hike To Remember.

Every day, 22 military veterans take their own lives and this 22k hike (~13 miles) serves as both a remembrance for those we've lost and a reminder for those that are struggling that help is out there.


The P&W volunteers graciously assisted with check-in and followed the hikers all morning so at each stop we could pass out waters, distribute food and/or pick up trash. No one blinked at the 430a start time and spirits remained high even as the temp (and humidity) creeped up. Jacinda Bernier, Johnna Wilensky, Pratt Vivekanandan, and Sam Atmur - you guys rock. Thank you again.


Also a huge thank you to JR Monaco for connecting MCL with the P&W Military Veterans ERG. As the CT Chapter President, it is a mission of mine to work hand in hand with our local community in support of our vast military population and events like this one are so near and dear to my heart. We eagerly look forward to more partnerships like this one.
