"I want to personally thank everyone whom attended the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Military & Veterans Employee Resource Group (MVRG) Flags In event at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery yesterday on May 26th, 2022. This was the largest participated Flags In event in my 7 years at CareFirst & 5 years leading the ERG (60 CareFirst #differencemakers!). We are overwhelmed with emotions from a multitude of levels. One, being the ability to see our friends and colleagues face to face. I haven’t seen some of my friends in over 2 years and I was overcome with Joy. Two, to be able to respect and honor our fallen heroes that have sacrificed their lives to protect our way of life. And, the personal connection between individuals and their family and friends, that have served, and were buried in that cemetery and all of the cemetery’s across this Nation. I was able to honor my grandfathers that served and it means a great deal to me that we were able to share that experience with our CareFirst team!
